Maybe I missed all of those fights, but from what I've seen or been involved in, fights are usually one of two ways: very quick because one guy knocks the other out (or down) after one or two punches, or just kinda wild and Calzagheish with both people trying to throw as much as possible to overwhelm the other guy but not having much technique. Usually adults are the first way, teenagers the second.
If a fight ends up on the ground, it's probably because someone got badly hurt and dropped, then had someone hit him when he's down. That's not really ground combat or grappling though.
i remember in the thread were that british politician socked up some south asian kids , a lot of the brits were upset that he hit him while he was on the ground.
i think brits like to fist fight and if a guy goes down they let the guy get up and throw it again.
over here in los angeles , that would never happen.
you do the most damage when someone is defenseless on the ground. that's when you turn it up.
