It always amazed me that people couldn't figure out what this was.

McCall obviously was ordered to lose the fight. He refused to allow himself to get knocked down. He avoided Lewis' punches but would not throw his own.

A somewhat similar thing happened when Jake LaMotta had to throw his fight with Billy Fox. Only difference there is that came out publicly years later. Interesting that Steward switched sides--where have you seen that happen before?

The whole thing was very rotten, and any "breakdown" in the ring was similar to what you saw DeNiro portraying LaMotta crying after having to lose to Fox.

This was all so obvious to those who can see.
