Kurupt is ass mang. Space boogie is a hardass beat but his flow is garbage. When he Has nothing to say he just keeps rhyming ***** with *****. Just like his garbageass verse in xxxplosive

Bad timing perhaps. DPG came out at a time when Snoop, Dre, and Pac were the main aritsts of Death row. They were always overshadowed. But for me personally, ive always bumped dogg pound sht.

          Kurupt is a badazz MC

I agree with the above post. He may have been overshadowed by bigger stars. Also his delivery could've been a little better. His verse in Got My Mind Made Up in 2Pac's All Eyez On Me with Daz, Method Man and Redman was great, filled with great punchlines, metaphors, that you certainly won't hear today, he just needed better delivery. It's only when you read his verse on lyrics websites that you stop and say 'damn he said that in the song? when?' That's called delivery. Something Eminem is probably best at, he knows how to make you focus on his best lines. That was where Kurupt was weak. Great lyricist, mediocre delivery.

Kurupt is better freestyle than he is recorded. Not sure why.

Thing with him is that he sounds excellent on other people's cuts and average on his own.

Like Dogg Pound, Snoop, Shade Sheist, etc.: Excellent.

But then you get ones like this:

Great beat, great hook (Centipede by Rebbie Jackson), but the rap is basic.
