Classic/great is subjective though. But here's a small list there are some other albums worth mentioning.

The Blueprint was nuts. That album was so fresh...with the samples, beats and flows. I remember seeing Izzo on tv and just thinking damn this is hot. That to me was Jay at his ultimate height. I hope Jay can recapture that with BP3.

"Hov is back, life story told through rap...n***** acting like i sold you crack...like I told you sell drugs..No, Hov did that so hopefulley you won't have to go through that."

Out of your list, I only agree with Marshall Mathers LP and The Blueprint. Chronic 2001 if you're lumping it into the group would make 3...

Maybe add Cage - Hell's Winter to the list and possibly Roots - Game Theory.

That's if you're talking "5 mic" albums, some of those are solid 4 mic/3-star albums like the Lupe album and Jay Z's black album

Neils, I have disagree about the black album. I sincerley believe that was a classic. And I don't call every Jay-Z album a classic.

I think it's a solid album - the third or fourth best of his career. Blueprint & Reasonable Doubt are 1 and 2 in some order, then Black album and Vol 2 Hard Knock Life are his next best IMO

yeah. actually it seems most people disagree with me on this one. I did a thread a while back and the majority said they didn't think the black album was a classic. So your opinion is cool. Its not like your trying to deny Reasonable Doubt...lol
