I'm pretty sure Scarface doesn't get as much playtime in the UK because he's not mainstream and he prefers it that way he keeps it underground.

-In world news today, officials agree that rapper Brad Jordan alias
    Scarface must be stopped
-After being monitored by secret service agents for two years
-Evidence leads Tobacco and Fire Arms officials to believe that his
literally dope lyrics promote drug usage and distribution
-Degrade women, influence ********, promote and teach violence and more
    importantly
-Its influencing our minors and destroying our young community
-Officials say, he's the lord of underground rap and his music must be
    stopped

    Scarface:

We got this whole mother****er on a mission
Now the whole entire world's gotta try to come up with a quick decision
They claim we threats to society
And now they callin on the government to try and make somebody quiet
For the bull**** they done to me
Gangsta Nip, ****e 1 or 2Pac never gave a gun to me
So gangsta rap ain't done **** for that
I've even seen white folks from River Oaks go get the gat
So why you tryin kick some dust up
America's been always known for blaiming us *****s for they ****-ups
And we were always considered evil
Now they tryin to bust our only code of communicating with our people
Lets peep the game from a different angle
Matt Dillon pulled his pistol every time him and someone tangled
    So why you criticize me
For the **** that you see on your tv
    That rates worse than PG
Just bring your ass to where they got me
So you can feel the hand of the dead body

    ChorusRepeat 2X)

    ***** don't believe that song
    That *****'s wrong
    Gangstas don't live that long

    So now they tryin seperation
And sendin black folks in white coats to infiltrate our congregation
    Tappin into our conversation
Saying the message that they give
    Bring forth or premeditation
So David's got a silver mag
While listenin to Brad, David gets mad and kills his dad
    David Duke's got a *******
So why you get upset cause I got one
    A tisket a tasket
A ***** got his ass kicked
Shot in the face by a cop, close casket
    An open and shut situation
Cop gets got, the wanna blame it on my occupation
If you don't dig me, than ***** you can sue me
Because the **** that I be sayin ain't worse than no western money
Don't blame me blame your man Gotti
So you can feel the hand of the dead body
ILLMATIC the best hiphop album ever imo.

Why would we? if a particular song is as good lyrically i will admit it, even if my preference for one artist remains the same. Yet in comparing Scarface to Nas lyrically you have to match lyrics like this.

      NAS LYRICS

      "****** Prisoners"

As the night close down on the Earth like gray dark rings
Light of cities in the nights, destination for Kings
with big dreams, like Castro, overthrew Bautista
from Cuba, and pointed nukes toward the U.S.
About to shoot us for revolution; that's how you gotta move
A lot of rules, some locked in solitude
Curse the day of they birth confused, who's to be praised?
The mighty dollar -- or almighty Allah
I'm like the farmer, plantin words, people are seeds
My truth is the soil; help you grow like trees
May the children come in all colors, change like leaves
but hold before you, one of those, prophetic MC's
with blunted flows, seven hundred souls in me
Each channelin, from past to present times, heaven shines
light on those, innocent to how the world grows
Some men become murderers, and some girls become hoes
And you accounted for, everything that you heard
Do not speak to fools; they scorn the wisdom of your words
My heart is wise, bloodshot eyes, the saga never dies

I give you every second low-priced, if I so lies; the truth is
Time waits for none of you, in fact
he can't wait for the date to snatch the ground right from under you
Small visions of better life if cheddar was right

Trapped in the slums, beggin for nuttin but takin
Headed for nuttin but the state pen, where they cousins be waitin

Around the way where we from
Hope the future reduce the rate of those buried young
Life is every man's kingdom, a dyin man's past

I Seen A Man Die lyrics
So what you gonna do cat daddy?
[Scarface:] I don't know dawg..juss trying to live it one day at a time.
I hear you man, live it one day at a time...
[Scarface:] Let me get up outta here man my ride waitin'.
        Aiight cat daddy stay tru
        [Scarface:] Aiight man peace

        [straight into verse one]

        [Verse 1:]

He greets his father with his hands out
Rehabilitated slightly, glad to be the man's child
The world is different since he's seen it last
Out of jail in seven years and he's happy that he's free at last
All he had was his mother's worth
Now she's gone and he's gotta make a change and make it for the beddah
But he's back so he's got one strike against him
And he's young plus he came up in the system
But he's smart and he's finally makin' eighteen
And this goes to get on top and try to stay clean
So he's calling up his homie who dun came up
Livin' like this now they dealin' with the same stuff
And had that attitude that who he was was worth it
and with that ****ed up attitude he killed his first mate
Now it's different and he's dead as dirt
And realized that the name ain't coming up but it still hurt
        And cain't nobody change this
It's ninteen-ninety-foe and we up against the same ****

        [chorus]
        I nevah understand why
I could nevah seen a man cry, til i seen that man die

        [Verse two:]

Imagine life at it's full peak
Then imagine lying dead in the arms of your enemy
Imagine peace on this earth when there's no grief
Imagine grief on this earth when there's no peace
Cuz everybody's got a different way of endin' it
And when your number comes for service then they send it in
Now your time has arrived for the final touch
I see the fear in your eyes and hear your final breath
How much longeer will it be til it's all done?
Total darkness and ease be in all one
I watch him die and when he dies let us celebrate
You took his life, but your memory he'll never take
You'll be headed to another place
And the life you used to live will reflect in your mother's face

        [chorus]

        [Verse 3:]

I hear you breathin' but your heart no longer sounds strong
But you kinda scared of dying so you hold on
And you keep on blacking out cuz the post is near
Stop trying to fight the reaper just relax and let it go
Because there's no way you can fight it but you'll still try
And you can try it til you fight it but you'll still die
Now your spirit leaves your body and your mind clears
The rigormortis starts to set, now you outta here
You start your journey into outer space
You see yourself in the light but you're still feeling outta place
So you standing in the tunnel of eternal light,
And you see the ones you never learn to love in life
Make the choice let it go but u can back it up
If you ain't at peace with God you need to patch it up
But if you ready close your eyes and we can set it free
There lies a man not scared to die, may he rest in peace

I still got to wondah why,
I never seen a man cry til I seen a man die

Scarface is definately a great not only in Southern Hip Hop but Hip Hop in general. Probably no point in comparing him to Nas in the end. They are too different. Face is more straightforward but still real heavy while Nas is more abstract but they both have their appeal.

That was a BS single from Jay. Wayne merked that beat I have to disagree.
I might recieve some heat for agreeing with this post but i also thought wayne merked that beat, people only hate him because hes very popular and they hear his most popular songs but if they really looked into his music, hes got something for everybody.
