        My indication being that there probably weren't many fans of his to turn their backs on him. Point being, he's so wack, no one needed to turn their back on him, because he sucks.

            I guess I look at it differently, if a rapper lives next door to me, and is trying to make it in the business, but is wack, I'm not going to be paying much, if any, attention to him. Just because they happen to live in the same area code/state/city as me, doesnt mean I'm going to blindly follow them regardless of their talent level.

              Exactly. Matter of fact, if you live near someone you should expect MORE of them then the average artist. They are essentially representing your hometown, you should hope they go above and beyond. And if they don't.. don't just pat them on the head and say, atleast you tried.
