Not 100%. But due to sheer volume, it works out to a lot of singles. I think Wayne might have a good album in him, but he's more focused on being a pop star like Ja Rule was a few years ago, doing little cameos in Top 40 star songs and assorted rap songs. I'm not a hater; if he put out songs on par with "Go DJ", "Fireman", or "Stuntin Like My Daddy" recently - none of which are classics, but all of which are passable radio singles - I wouldn't criticize.

But there's a new fad where artists are all collaborating with Wayne despite Wayne not ever having anything close to a classic album - and many of the results are garbage. Lately, I like Wayne's part on "Brown Paper Bag" by DJ Khaled, I like the "Crackhouse" duet with Fat Joe; but he's a lot more miss than hit.

On top of that, Jay-Z, Missy Elliot, Snoop, Ludacris all feature on pop singles better than he does.

If there were a rap draft the same size as the NFL or NBA, he'd be a late 2nd round pick. That's why all the hype baffles me - like why would Jay-Z even release the song with Wayne from American Gangster when it's obviously the worst song on the disc - Wayne's appearance on the new Kanye album was "standout bad" as well.

I don't understand the "Wayne can do no wrong" attitude that some of this board has (though it still doesn't translate to record sales). I've given praise to some surprise albums lately - the Fat Joe, Styles P, Beanie Sigel, Chamillionaire discs were all better than I would have thought. I wish Wayne would put something out to justify the hype.

But 2Pac could re-emerge, show the world he's not really dead, and record "Lollipop" and I would trash him as well. Wayne's in a position right now where anything he touches is received well by his fanboys; he's really, really putting that to the test with his new single though.

He's Jay-Z Lite when it comes to metaphors - if you told Redman to write a Lil' Wayne imitative song, it would be twice as good.

Honestly, Trademarc (John Cena's cousin) had some good one-liners on their disc. Surely you have more to offer than just that when defending Wayne?

Get me and a handful of random, mildly intelligent guys on some chemical, , put a rap beat behind us, and you'll get a lot of punny potential - but likely nothing that would lead to a great rap song.

        Wayne Is A Hypocrite

He's alright as a rapper, but he is not what street music is all about. He states all these things he's done and hasn't done any of it. HE IS A FRAUD. HE SAYS HE HAS BEEN SHOT AS IF SOMEONE DID IT TO HIM WHEN IN FACT HE SHOT HIMSELF PLAYING WITH THE GUN IN HIS BEDROOM.

          NEILS.....

True in a sense..I would say Stuntin like my daddy is probably the best song of 2007..You have to know that he, due to people with your same opinion, has put a great deal into making Carter III the best album he's ever made..You have to know that..

Its not about him having a classic ablum. Fact has it that Wayne is a bonifide hit maker..No different than R. Kelly a few years back..Everyone wanted a piece of him on their album because he was the best thing smokin at the time..Now Wayne is the best thing smokin followed by T-Pain & Akon..Remember, the need him, he doesn't need them..

On top of that, Jay-Z, Missy Elliot, Snoop, Ludacris all feature on pop singles better than he does. Since when?? 2006-2007, Wayne shut it down..

I disagree with the draft point..Hello Brooklin was one of the best songs on the album..Honestly, there wasn't a bad song on the album..Wayne made that song..No other artist would have given it the same feel..And you best believe if it was ****ty Jay wouldn't have put it on the album..Now Kanye's album is another story..I hated that track completely..

I ride with Wayne because most hate him and I love his work..Give the dude his propz man..He makes hit track (with or without someone)..Its not his fault that MTV labeled him as the best..If not for MTV, people wouldn't hate on him at all..see T-Pain..not pub so no hatin..The Carter II will silence every man woman & beast..

But 2Pac could re-emerge, show the world he's not really dead, and record "Lollipop" and I would trash him as well. Wayne's in a position right now where anything he touches is received well by his fanboys; he's really, really putting that to the test with his new single though. Exactly..Art is a motherf**ker"

I dont get alot of rappers that make me think about a song, Wayne does that, obviously he's doing something good. If you can understand this song from beginning to end then you'll get it. Most likely you wont, but millions of other ppl see a bigger point and deeper meaning in the songs. Dont take what he throws out in the mainstream(which right now, downed meaning rap is the way on the radio) because thats what ppl wanna hear now, no deep ****.
