      Manc, England.

We are currently full lockdown. Also I get redeployed to an ICU in and out through the last year depending on covid cases So I'm pretty circumspect around doing these things but I think with govt guidance where I live from March 2020 through to now we've only been 'allowed' in each others homes twice without restrictions anyhow.

But yeah even with PPE I wouldnt like to be a source of infection to someone more vulnerable or someone just unlucky.

Yeah I get that. A friend of mine caught it from his mum who’d been having parties and not keeping to rules.

He’s now given to his partner who’s given it to her father who is now very ill.

Transmission is incredibly easy and all of a sudden you’ve got a loved one who’s in hospital. But people just want to be able to have their mochas and paninis. My god

Defo, from what I see at work but also personally I know a lot of sad stories now. And Christmas seems like such a massive error especially down south where most of my friends and family are from.

I think we are that close now. But the next issue I have is I see people on twitter saying stuff like 'my nan had her vaccine cant wait to give her a hug later!'

That's not how the immune system works which I suppose a lot of people know but not all. Could take upwards of 2 weeks to have an immune response that could combat covid if exposed if they even get an immune response. Even doing the right thing could cost us.

I feel like the next 'conspiracy' will be the x amount of people that will die after having a vaccine but contracting covid before it did its work.

For sure. The government has managed the pandemic terribly but I'm optimistic about the vaccine rollout especially now we're getting 24/7 vaccination centres.

A big game changer could be the Janssen vaccine. It only requires one dose and we've secured 30 million doses with the possibility of ordering 22 million more.

If this gets approved over the next few weeks then I could see every adult having the opportunity to be vaccinated by June.
