No. Nothing is free. The cost will be passed onto everyone

If they are going to cancel debts, it can't just be a freebie. Military or Federal service should be mandatory. Just like citizenship, it should be earned.

My assumption is you used your GI Bill for school, as did I. My parents laughed at me when I asked them how much they had saved for me to go to college.

Anyways, I'm not the brightest apple on the tree and at 17, I was a bigger knucklehead but I had enough sense to join the military to pay for college. I knew I wasn't college material and didn't go to college until I was 27.

Nah. They signed up for it and should pay it back.

No, not fair to the people who actually paid off their student loans.

Also not fair to people who wanted to go college, but chose not to because they didn't want to deal with student debt and had to find other ways to hustle and build up their skills in industries not require degrees.

If people get the benefit of education and a degree to put on their resume, then they should have to pay.

I used some of it but the best part is that it can be passed to my kids. At least where I live it can.

When I was 18 I had a baby on the way. Didn’t know what I was going to do. I decided to enlist and it was the best thing I could have done. Jump started my career and put us on a good track. My family is living well now.

It will never happen, in favor or not.

Maybe it's time to ask why college costs have gone up so much?
