Damn, puts me in mind of some of the pension fund scandals we've had over here. Message of hope in there too though, with the redemption of Robert Duvall's character - whose name I can't recall right now..

Speaking of whom another little snippet from my atg fave movie..

That sums it up pretty much. Watching it as an adult was better for the reason that you can relate. The guy lost his job, lost his wife..... I lost my job and girlfriend in 2009 and went off the rails.

It's not done in a way that promotes violence I don't think? it plays out like a video game character almost. Detached from reality but with nods to it. You laugh when he takes out gangsters and robbers, laugh when he smashes up a shop because of some petty reason...... because deep-down you know he is in the right.

The way the violence is done is what makes it so good, so.. relatable. Starts off with just a small event, a minor irritation and overreaction that I reckon could happen to any of us, then step by step it just escalates and escalates... shit I can personally relate, many of us can I expect, start off doing some smalltime shit then before you know it you're looking around at the chaos of your life thinking 'how the fuck did it come to this?'

"The straw that broke the camels back" comes to mind.

Sometimes I've had that much stuff go bad even the smallest thing can set me off....... obviously cooled-off with age.

Ha there ain't so many benefits to getting older, but getting a bit more patience and a bit less anger is one I can live with just fine.

For sure....... If I could send my consciousness back in time, like that TV show 'Travellers'.......... I'd not have got into any trouble.

              That's a fact.

Ha ha, I reckon if my older self had gone back to advise my younger self to calm it down a bit I probably woulda laughed in my face and told me to fuck off.

Bentley just caught Hefron squared up, knocked him on his ass. Not hurt though.

Of semi recent movies I'd have go with Drive...after gosling pulls off the heist, pulls into the parking structure of the clippers game and nightcall by Kavinsky starts playing with aerial shots of LA at night....pretty dope.
