I won't defend the guy cheating, but his wife's reaction was probably a good indicator of how she behaves at home when things don't go her way, and I can almost see why he would cheat. Again, I don't defend cheating, but sometimes I can understand it. It's a slippery slope because not everyone cheats for the same reasons. Maybe she cheated on him, or was abusive towards him and he didn't feel he had a way out? Who knows, but her reaction was enough to get both of them a domestic violence charge that will stay with each of them for life. Clearly not worth it.

As Boxfan83 said, run/walk away because that would have been the only way to avoid that scene. But then the question is, do you help your mistress? Or just let her get her ass beat? Tough to make those calls during the heat of the moment.
