Over the summer visiting family in LA. I was walking to the store one day and Some ******* cop stopped me and gave me a ticket for jay walking. I got pissed off, ripped the ticket up, and through on the floor. Without any hesitation The cop pulled out his night stick and immediately struck me over the head. I didn’t get arrested because the cop knew he was wrong and I immediately hopped on the plane back to New York. I swear I will never visit LA ever again.

Too bad no one recorded that. A story like that would have made headline news from 2014-2019.
But the virus came, so the media doesn't care about cops assaulting black people anymore.

1. You jay walked without clearance.. i always scope left and right, up and down for cars, cops, and crashing airplanes/choppers before I jay walk and all this in matters of split second. That’s how thorough i am.
2. You littered and wasted ticket paper
I went to Juve for the first time when when I was 15-16 for fighting with a Torrance PD.
I was trippin out on like 3 drops of Acid when the cops showed up at my friend’s house. My memory Is hazy but my friend said I resisted arrest and swung at the cops.
By the time I sobered up, I was sitting in a cell with some Cholo and that was the most bizarre sht ever lol It literally felt like I woke up from a dream and landed in jail.
I really had no idea what had happened until my lawyer showed up and told me everything.
By the time I got out and went back to school, I was pretty much a superstar lol. I did some time at Juv and had to do fkn J.A.W.S community service program which is literally like slave labor but looking back, i got off easy since it was first offense and on top of that, this was during the mid 90s. Things were more chill back then

Pretty sure if we had a video record of this "assault" we would see some things not related to us in your account.
You tore up a jay walking ticket, so the cop hit you on the head with a stick after which everyone went about their business. Yeah, that sounds like the truth the whole truth and nothing but...

I will say this: LA is a different ball of wax than NYC. I grew up in NYC and the first time I was out in LA I might as well have been on Mars. Back in my day Times Square was seedy, not a tourist spot...It was dangerous and we would hang there as kids.
When I got to LA the bus depot, and started to walk downtown, as I walked out of the Trailways station (I know I am dating myself here lol) I started with my funky "I am a G not to be fked with" walk... You know with the icy stare, the bop de bop? Then I start looking around...I don't think I have ever been more shook!! Mexicans in a knife fight spilling out of a bar... hotels with all kinds of ******** and other assorted individuals looking the street over. I was legitimately like "how do I get the fk out of here!?"
I mean I knew the Bronx...The Bronx was the closest thing I could think of that resembled downtown LA...In both places, they seemed to stretch mile after mile.
Heres the thing OP: when in a strange place? you behave. I know what LA looks like to a New Yorker...and the last thing I would have done if a cop approached me in that area, was give the guy any hassle. I may be White, you may be Black...you may feel like the cop was racially picking on you, but in this case? Sometimes other issues take precidence. I have since learned a lot more about LA and I actually like the city very much. Hectari and I have had some nice talks about the area. LA can be a fun place indeed, but there are always things to observe when going into a new area the first time.
