Yeah, I am very influenced by my experiences in Africa where people opposed raising animals to hunt on private game farms but favored culling if it interfered with villagers crops outside of Kruger and places with no fences. I considered them activists because there was a strong lobby to keep the farms because they were economically lucrative in an otherwise poor place.

I do agree though there are wack jobs in America that border on the extreme.
It is likely a lot of those people didn't have first hand experiences with nature in some cases so we are not in total disagreement.

You're right, and I'm all for the conservationist movements in Africa but I also recognise it's probably not enough to save all the species so sometimes a little outside help isn't so bad. It's a good idea to use culling to raise money to stop poachers. I'm pretty sure a lot of the money that comes from culling in Ireland goes to various conservationist movements too. It's the best way to accrue the funds for protection and satisfy our hunting needs.

        I didnt quote you.
But if youre calling out hypocrisy then Joe breeding them for a life in a cage, isnt caring for them.

You think a tiger in captivity leads a better life than in the wild?
Maybe focus on criticizing the hunting and allow the wild animals to actually live in the wild.

True there are reintroduction programmes. Why do they need reintroducing into the wild? Because they have been bred in captivity and robbed of their nature.
So they need rescuing from people who breed them to look cool or get laid.
Bankrupting herself would mean she couldnt rescue more cats.
She could make a lot more money if she let people pet the cubs. Why doesnt she if all she wants is money?

Joe was clearly a fame hungry attention seeking fool. Who claimed he cared for these animals.
        Is he not a hypocrite?

Are you ****** or something? I'm not defending Joe. He's a piece of **** who mistreated animals and people alike and he's a junkie. All I'm saying is that the likes of animal rights activists like Carole Baskin are the definition of hypocrisy.
Also in places where species of tigers and lions have been hunted to extinction or their natural habitats completely destroyed, yes it is better to have them remain in captivity where there is relative safety and comfort for them. Remember, these animals hunt to feed, it's not like they do it as a past time. They're very largely sedentary. Big cats, big dogs, what do they have in common? Most animals are happy with food, comfort, play and companionship. That is something that can be provided for them in captivity. The only difference with the wild is space and freedom which is something we have already taken away from most animals due to us creating our own habitats.

Lol actually now you mention it.. she does..

Its wierd most of the people in the show weren't good or likeable.. hell Joe exotic pretty much got straight guys with drug problems to marry/**** him.. by supplying drugs then keeping them "locked up" like property

But.. God damn Carole Baskin is still the most unlikeable of the lot.. her husband is a total cuck.. and she comes off like a psycho.. I am pretty sure she killed/had a part in the disappearance off her ex husband

Actually now I think of it her simp husband who was chained up on a lead for wedding pics.. is the character I hate most.. I thought that type of behaviour was only prevalent in the younger generation.. from the types who get news from Vox

Supply has to meet demand and if the animal is being raised for slaughter it is (sorry to tell you this) totally pointless trying to cater to its feelings. I mean at the end of it you're going to kill the things so why would we be treating them humanely? I don't know of any animals that treat their prey humanely. How silly it looks when you see these hipster butchers trying to make it look like they deserve special considerations because they practice decent animal husbandry and slaughter. It becomes "cool" to prey on animals for social protein, not just nourishment. I find it hypocritical. We don't have to make every human action into a virtue signal and any decent farmer should treat livestock properly...its nothing to write home about.

I also think people in the Unites States have access to very inexpensive food and it often causes immoderate behavior and a lack of realistic understanding regarding how that food comes to them. I would prefer a world where less meat was eaten and it was enjoyed more when eaten.

You, me and every other living thing on this planet will die. Does this mean the quality of life leading up to our absolutely certain demise is meaningless. Maybe but I don't think so.

They live short lives in cramped conditions. They're literally being raised to be fat and bulky so we get meat. There are monetary and time saving reasons for this. People aren't all as ******ly sentimental as you are.

Damn right if they had to hunt for the meat themselves they wouldn't be complaining when they figure out our farming methods gives them much more meat with much less effort.
