    Speaking of computers....

....for years I had one of those tower with a monitor types, a DELL, well after about 10 years it finally went kaplunk. So new computer time (the DELL too old to fix).

My son in law who is a computer wiz (told me to dump the DELL) sold me one of his lap tops, a Toshiba Satelitte P775 for 100 bucks. It's very nice and a huge up grade, but......

Why is the power cord and the input for your head phones on the right side, here is my pad and mouse, yes have to work around the two cords. Wouldn't it make more sense to have all that on the left?

What am I going to do, yep, another of life's tragedies

No no really, not close actually. My right hand is inchs away from my head phone cord, that just seems wrong, yes a MAJOR hassle. Putting the input on the left just makes more sense.

Somebody told me this particular computer is over 1000 bucks new, is that true?

        Got it...

On paper, this laptop is the essential example of a powerful and affordable mainstream laptop. It offers a Core i7-2670QM processor and Nvidia GT 540M graphics, all of which is wrapped in a 1.4-inch thick chassis that weighs in at a hefty 5.8 pounds. The predictable 15.6-inch display has a resolution of 1366?68, and no high-resolution option is available.

This laptop’s hardware is powerful, but the price tag manages to limbo under a grand, coming in at $979.99. This should be considered a high-end model in the line. You can purchase this laptop for under $600 – but you will be downgraded to a Core i3-2330M and Intel HD 3000 graphics.

Guess I got a great deal.

More than likely the power supply ($25-45.). Buy a new one from someone who let you return it if that is not the case. Very easy fix.

Thank you but too late I gave it away, And do prefer a lap top to a stationary, guess I could have had both, hmmmm?

Chris my son in law works in the computer biz, he kept that Dell running for me, for him to tell me.....it's had it....well.

Power supplies last 4-5 years...I've changed a few (takes a few minutes).

If it was something simple Chris would have fixed it, something he has done a few times. He made it very clear.....gonna cost more for parts than it's worth. I guess I should have asked just what was the problem, but didn't.

Anyway, everything about this lap top is far superior anyway. Oviously not stuck in one place anymore.
