American dream is about no one preventing you from trying.

It's not about guaranteeing you'll get it.

    A pretty basic dream.

Why do you think she failed?

She was working several job and had her got seriously ill, then did more work and then got her violin stolen a major source of her income.

How many jobs do you think she should have had to not be lazy?

She actually got a few gigs.

The American Dream is a national ethos of the United States, the set of ideals (democracy, rights, liberty, opportunity and equality) in which freedom includes the opportunity for prosperity and success, as well as an upward social mobility for the family and children, achieved through hard work in a society with few barriers. In the definition of the American Dream by James Truslow Adams in 1931, "life should be better and richer and fuller for everyone, with opportunity for each according to ability or achievement" regardless of social class or circumstances of birth

Yes, definitely, the American Dream is dead.

Her and your story is Bull****. She wants charity or a interesting story to be famous. She could've got full coverage for very little under *****care.

If it's dead how is I'm doing so well?

Did you read what it said?

Are these thing still true in American society?

Pretty sure social mobility is at a all time low.

They are many barriers in your way to achieve success and move upward in social mobility.

You are only one person, it is the system, and opportunities to raise yourself to higher grounds are rarer and rarer.

How can a talented hard working, law abiding good person become homeless? If the American Dream was still alive it wouldn't be the case.

Well if you don't believe her then zero point of argument as I am basing it on her story being true.

If you think she is telling lies, that is another matter, just your own thoughts your mind won't be changed on it.

But if she is telling the truth, do you concede the American Dream is dead?
