Huawei make good phones, but no better than Samsung.
The Chinese government owns anything they want.

        It's a communist dictatorship.

Yeah i know Chinese companies are required by law to co-operate with their security services, however the OP claimed that Huawei "have admitted sharing data with the Chinese government" without sourcing it, and that's not the case.

There's no proof that Huawei have installed backdoors in any of their products. It all comes down to Chinese law that states that Chinese technology companies must co-operate with the security services if requested. That's whats scaring the US and other countries.

              Fair enough.

But remember, even if they are doing it, they cant admit to it unless their government allows them too.

I'm not saying they are, but denials dont mean anything.

I will say if I had to bet my money on it, I'd wager they are spying. I might win, I might lose, but I'd play the odds for sure.

This is because Huawei is the world leading in 5g tech, in can secure massive contracts cutting many US firms out of the loop.

This will hurt the US economy so they decided to attack Huawei saying it is a security issue.

Google's has just shown how close their ties are with the US govt.

If Huawei phones are such a risk because they are Chinese and China controls all their companies, then why only do this to Huawei? They are many other Chinese phones that are sold in the US.

This also shows google is too power, it has too much control as it is the only operating system on none apple phones.

We need to see a few more operating systems and for users able to change them.

The govt. cracked down big on Microsoft when it had the monopoly on PCs, so why are they letting Google get away with it?

Google and Facebook corporate with the US security devices all the time.
