What you want to avoid is a prostate biopsy. Horrific.

They found a cancerous polyp up my ass back at the start of '17 and from then up til just before COVID hit I was in every 3 months... alternate endoscopies and full colonoscopies. Had to drink some horrible shet each time to purge and pretty much starve myself for 3 days before. Deep joy if you'll forgive the pun.

And then of course all that air gotta come out again... Lucky I don't embarrass easy and I've screwed enough nurses to know they ain't prudish... Usually have a laugh with em actually, buzzed up on the nitrous and just chatting crap whilst watching my insides on the monitor.
Well, that was a pleasant 21 months without having fingers, air hoses or cameras rammed up my ass but the nurses gonna be running a train on my poor bumhole again next week... Just went in today for em to take some bloods and give me the sachets of the nasty bowel prep shat. What's worse they can't even do it a my local hospital so I got like a 45 minute drive each way instead of 15.

        Once again, deep joy.

So you have to drive home with a sore bunghole???? That is awful. Get some Hemorelief for your bunghole. It may cool and soothe your most precious of areas.

I had blood work 2-3 years ago. Everything looked good except my PSA increased significantly. This plus severe lower back pain convinced me I had advanced prostate cancer.

So the first step the urologist did was a digital exam which showed no lumps but an ultrasound revealed an egg shaped prostate the size of a lime. Should be the size of a walnut. Doctor informed me that although he felt no lumps on the side of the prostate he could feel the cancer could be on its opposite side. So I needed to get a prostate biopsy.

First the stick a foot long needle up your butt into the prostate to numb it. Then an ultrasound head is inserted into your butt against where your prostate sits. The ultrasound head has hollow needles within it that inject into your prostate. 12 of them each taking a core sample. It sounds like a commercial staple gun each time a core sample is taken and you feel it even with the numbing agent.

For me once the procedure was complete I was told to clean up in the bathroom. I was just completely covered in bright red blood. Took me 20 minutes to clean up. Saw blood in my urine and semen for 5 months afterwards.

Luckily all 12 samples were clean. No cancer but my PSA kept rising so step 2 was an MRI. This is non invasive and revealed a large prostate with no sign of tumors. Diagnosis was BPH a non serious condition most all men face as the age. Basically I have a swollen prostate.

Just to be clear when I hit 'like' I meant thanks for the share, not that I like that you had to go through that!

That sounds fkn nasty, man, makes my regular colonoscopies and endoscopies sound like a damn walk in the park in fact. Least you came back clear. Looks like my ass cancer ain't coming back any time soon, but I'm gonna be considered at elevated risk for the rest of my life I guess.
