But what's the point in posting them? I mean other than making people who DSKAT think they matter when, in this particular discussion, they don't.

Counting them or not, I've posted 10 links where Serena is voted ahead of Steffi. It's pretty clear that within the tennis community Serena is seen as better than Steffi.

Now in the Lounge, we know why D4th, dramashow and some others are voting Steffi.

Anyone else like yourself that votes for her without trying to forward an agenda, I have no issue with that opinion but I do disagree with it.

You really needed to word your question better. I voted on everything combined. Also for me Serena has a slight edge in the level of competition she had to face over her career. Now I'm far from a tennis expert or even much of a fan tbh, so I could be way off base on that.

Serena's biggest rival was really her sister, who is a great player herself, but that's really it. Maybe Jelena Jankovic but she was a very good player, not great one.

So tiny but always had Serena scrambling around the court with her skillful shots.

But she retired at 26

serena is 8-6 in her career v Henin.

Seles and Hingis were past prime when they played Serena though.

Especially Monica who first retired in 1993 after she got stabbed and then returned in 1995 but didn't win anything other than Australian Open once.
