Which is the greatest gangster movie ever?

Subjectively speaking here, i'll go with The Departed.
Al Pacino is my fave actor ever, but more because of his performances in Heat, Glengarry Glen Ross, Scent of a Woman, Serpico, The Panic in Needle Park, Scarecrow, And Justice For All, Carlito's Way, and Insomnia. Although I really liked Donnie Brasco and The GF trilogy is obviously the godfather of gangster movies but I've seen his movies like Heat, Glengarry Glen Ross, Scent of a Woman, Scarecrow, And Justice For All a lot more though.
Heat ending, Pacino and De Niro staring at each other out of respect as De Niro dies. That was an amazing scene.
To not go to against the grain, for the sake of voting I chose Carlito's Way. Loved how the movie started with the tragic ending.
