Any of you guys got one? Recently bought one and waiting for it in the mail. The main reason why I got it is to watch PPVs on there but heard it has way more features than that including a good selection of ****. What do you guys think of it?

I have a Fire TV device, not the Firestick. It's the greatest thing since sliced bread. Assuming that you have an Amazon Prime membership, and everyone on the planet should have one as you get free shipping, free online books, free TV and Movies, you will be able to watch many movies and TV shows for free or for very little, plus you can add apps like poker apps or games (free). You can also add in Hulu or Sling (I have Sling).
Or also can bring in KODI with which you can stream any boxing event or sports event or movies or what ever. Amazon sells a device called Mifanstech MXQ Amlogic S805 Quad Core Smart TV Box With Xbmc Kodi Pre-installed Android 4.4 Kitkat System H.265 Wifi LAN Miracast Airplay Stream Media Player 1G RAM 8G ROM that includes KODI.
Assuming that you have a good internet connection (I'm running two Amazon Fire TV devices on two separate TV's) you will be amazed at the reception.
I am completely off cable/satellite now. I pay $65/month for 100mbps internet, plus $20 for Sling in coordination with Fire TV and KODI and I and watch anything I want to watch. With an attic antennae I also am getting 115 local channels, most of them with higher quality HD than I got with cable.
I know this sounds like an advertisement...I don't work for Amazon; I'm just giving you information that you can use to make an intelligent decision. And that decision is to buy the Amazon Fire TV (goes for around $100).
Forgot to mention....the Fire remote is VOICE ACTIVATED...coolest thing I've ever had besides my wife.

Heard they are different programs you can use for the PPVs. Do you know if he tried all of them or just one of them?
Kodi dev's are pissed because they do it for free, (just the kodi program, no hardware or content). People sell these boxes, then don't offer any support for them once they go haywire.
I see people complain that soon after they buy them they start having problems with streams, certain programs deleting the others...etc.
I would just buy a good streaming device and sideload kodi on it. You are responsible for w/e content you decide to stream. Kodi just provides a software program to run in a htpc set-up. It doesn't come with any content. Google it and read about it.
Check out their forums too.

I know you can get high quality subscriptions for Kodi that are HD and run smoothly. Do a google search for those and check 'em out.Last edited by BodiesInFlight; 06-07-2016, 03:15 PM.

And yeah, i searched the Kodi forums a while back and they didn't look too kindly on these cheap pre loaded devices.
