a lot of powerful turks have very strong links to russia, I would be surprised if Turkey was willing to sacrifice itself this easily to please the US, but who knows
man, tabloids a couple weeks ago said chinese carriers were bombing.

the chinese carrier (ONLY 1) is not even operational yet.

i think its on a test deployment.

Tua you seem to know your weaponry. Are you in that line of work by any chance?

no mig-29. they are supplying syria with more mig-29 but it'll take a while for syria to deploy them.

russians don't use much precision bombs but they have LOOSER engagement rules than US/NATO.

ISIL will get hurt bad. deploying weapons around civilians ain't gonna stop the russians.
looks like they are thinning out their stockpile first before they start dropping the expensive stuff. those old Russian bombs have a more hellish effect on impact so i suppose it's a win-win.

There is a LOT going on in Syria right now. While Russia continues its campaign there's reports that the US is trying to unite several militia groups with the YPG and is arming them heavily, supposedly they're gonna run a operation in Northern Syria to take back Raqqa from Isis and from then on establish a seperate state. I doubt these reports, Russia and the Assad forces aren't just gonna let Syria be partitioned.

us kinda have no choice. they don't wanna arm a lot of syrian groups that might turn to AQ/ISIL later. the kurds are the most reliable to arm. they're not anti-west and would never align with arab ********* group.

the only reason there isn't a kurd state already (in iraq or syria) is because of nato turkey.

something that will make this even more messy is IRAQ GOVT might request RUSSIAN AIR STRIKES too.

iraqis don't like american/west rules of engagement.

ISIL hides among civilians and americans are reluctant to bomb.

              russians don't care.

Yeah, I read somewhere that the US made a 50 ton weapons drop.

The main reason their isn't already a Kurdish state is because the idea to create one out of the territory of the Ottoman Empire was scrapped following World War 1, and subsequent interests superseded it (to say nothing if whether it'd been a viable possibility regardless). It isn't because Turkey is a member of NATO.

i'm talking about current times 2003-present.

                    not 1918.

kurds have been striving for a separate state since forever.

iraq, syria, iran don't want a kurd state.

but we don't really give a crap about them tbh.

turks however we do care about. they're an important nato ally. turks don't want a kurd state since they have a kurd ********* problem.

kurds have had kinda their own territory in iraq for forever.

they have large chunks of syrian territory now.

to say it's not viable is incorrect.

only thing stopping it is international politics.
