That is seriously the saddest list that I've ever seen, absolutely pathetic. Grasping at straws sums that up perfectly.

Cuba lead the USA 25-2 in terms of Baseball World Cup wins.
Yugoslavia (a country which no longer exists) are level with the USA in terms of Basketball World Cup wins.

The US are nowhere in terms of Hockey World Cup wins so I assume you meant Ice Hockey which is a different sport.
I see you know nothing about baseball. We don't send professional players for baseball in the world, while Cuba sends grown ass men we send kids who are 18-22 mostly. But it's alright, keep talking about something you know NOTHING about. In the MLB, the premier baseball league in the world, the US still represents roughly 70% of the majors. Latin America is very good at baseball though.

Again, the basketball world cup is not where we send our best players. When we send our best, the olympics, we've won 14 times. The closest is the Soviet Union with 2.

So now 3rd place and 2nd place is dominating? Yeah, I'm American, and in no way do Left Hook Tua's comments represent the collective sentiment of Americans. A better commentary on soccer in the USA is that we Americans don't give a flying **** about soccer, or futbol, since it's a fairy sport.

Le Bron James is Americas #1 athlete, yet he loses world championships to Europeans twice

Even Kobe says European athletes are better and guess what? European countries aren't pouring in hundreds of millions to train people to play basketball like you do in America.
