Regardless of any possible feminist issues its unprofessional.
He wore shirts similar (if not the same shirt) in the office before everyone made a big fuss about it. He isn't there to service you or I, if his boss says he can wear the damn shirt he can wear it.

I literally cannot believe that people are focusing on his fashion choices rather than the fact he helped land a probe on a moving comet millions of miles away in space. There was a huge fuss over an Australian male TV reported who revealed he wore the same suit everyday as a conscious choice to see if anyone pulled him up about it in the media etc. because his female counterparts were criticized everyday about the clothing choice and not their viewpoints and how they did their job.

I don't understand how it is unprofessional if that what he is allowed to wear in his profession. If my I work in a job where presentation isn't important, where I don't have to rely on my appearance to sell product and my boss tells me I can wear a clown costume to work I will wear what I prefer. Who gives a **** what he wore? Seriously. People are pathetic.

That's your opinion and its fine. It does go simply beyond fashion though.

The case you mention is an interesting one but doesn't have any similarities.
There are similar cases here in the UK where women are overly critized for what they wear.
