I hate No Country for Old Men

It's actually one of my favorite movies. I think the author is sending a message in the book that we don't live in a perfect world and evil does prevail sometimes. The movie is really great though, you admitted yourself, it's shot beautifully, master acting. And what? It didn't end the way you wanted/predicted so you hate it?

No, it's that the ending isn't as well executed IMO as the rest of the movie, which is brilliant. No matter how well the message fits the movie, the execution is lacking. Not like it makes the movie bad, it's a great movie, but it's a jarring difference between the rest of the movie and the ending.

Yeah I know exactly what you're saying. I'm glad that guys like the Coen Brothers are trying to make films that are different. I do like many of their films. It's just that No Country really missed the mark for me. Actually Burn After Reading was also a terrible Coen Brothers movie, but largely I have enjoyed their films.

Also agree on Jackie Brown. Not a bad film, it's just no Pulp Fiction.

I love Jackie Brown. It deserves more love than it gets, it's better than anything Tarantino has done from Kill Bill on.

Modern classic IMO. But I do understand people disliking it if they can't get over the way it ended.

It was a great movie, just like there will be blood was great, and Drive.

They captured the environment, the feel, and attitude of the area and people they were portraying unlike other movies have. They were slow, and some people only like Transformer type movies, so I get it.

There Will Be Blood and No Country For Old Men....two of my favorite movies. 2007 was a real good year.

this movie was good, it was cool.
