Do you believe in UFO's?

Yes, I believe that there are occasional sightings of flying objects in the sky that cannot be properly identified due to varying circumstances.
That said, I don't believe that they're piloted by little gray from other planets or dimensions who are data-gathering on mankind by visiting us to stick things up our ass.

Intelligent life on the other hand is probably rarer. But still, there are 400 billion stars in our galaxy alone. Even if intelligent life is rare, sheer numbers suggest there is going to be other intelligent life out there.

What are the chances that a non organic, non sentient form of matter would somehow develop thought, awareness and conciousness? What would be the reason?
Against all concievable odds, it happened once, on this infinitesimal rock in endless space. What reason do we have to believe it could happen anywhere else?
We spend so much time convincing ourselves we aren't special when maybe the complete opposite is true.Last edited by DARKSEID; 11-02-2013, 01:25 PM.

it's much more unlikely that we're the only planet with intelligent life. that mentality screams monotheistic, western, all that jazz. ugly american sh#t. it's an extremely vain notion.
silly concept, really. 400 billion stars in one galaxy. billions of galaxies. your math is better than mine.
10 to the huge ****ing number of opportunities for life to evolve, with billions of years to get going.
of course there's life out there, and it's likely that some of it has gotten complex and smart over the billions of years it's had to evolve.Last edited by New England; 11-02-2013, 01:37 PM.
