I think the best influence a parent can have, is to make sure that they're children aren't easily influenced.

Of course kids are influenced by everything but I wouldn't like to be the one responsible for toally indoctrinating my kid into a belief system and changing their life and viewpoint simply because I hold something as the truth. As I say, leave them to it, teach them to come to their own conclusions.

Agreed. But that requires spending time with your kid, talking with them, breaking things down and teaching them all sides of the argument, etc.

      Basically, influencing them

All I'm saying is, it goes both ways. Theists influence their kids, and atheists influence their kids. Its ridiculous to be on a high horse and point the finger.

Yes but it's anti-influence influence. They cancel.

I wasn't raised in any particular way. My mother was a church-goer as were all my grandparents but I was never forced to go. I went once and I didn't like it so I didn't have to go any longer, same story with Sunday School. It's only recently I've declared myself an atheist of sorts as before I was in the sort of ambiguous region of deciding.

Theists are a lot more guilty of influencing their kids, if they weren't these religions would have died out a while ago.

Indecipherable. What are you on about? If English isn't your first language then I apologise, but even if there were no grammatical abominations you'd still be talking utter ****e.

Encouraging a kid to make rational decisions based on evidence is far more reasonable than asking them to believe in some far-fetched, cruel religion for whose God there is no evidence.

Why is there so much hatred for faith in God?

I get annoyed that so many people refuse to consider/acknowledge the contradictions presented by religion
