I could be wrong, but I think that's how Clinton beat Bush Sr. in 1992, by New Hampshires 3 Electoral Votes. Not only that, I don't agree with everything this administration does, but I shiver at what might have happened if Al Gore were president on 9/11/01.

In 2004, GWB was elected by winning the electoral college and the majority vote. In other words, most people, and most states thought it was the right thing to do.

The good thing for people that don't like GWB, is that they only have 3 more years to wait for change. The glory of America.
As far as I remember he didn't win by electoral votes or popular votes. His brother is Gov. of Florida, the person in charge of the voting system in the state of FL now has a plush desk job in the White House (HMMM) and the count was called short because of a Supreme Court that was hired by Bush Sr. That election was stolen. IMO.

You have to admit that the Florida results in 2000 are very, very controversial. Gore got more of the votes in the end even without the spoiled ballots that were meant for him. But the final recount was halted by a **********-nominee majority Supreme Court. Even before that Jeb was trying to make the initial Bush victory result stick while his own courts were fighting him.

I'm just stating the facts objectively here. I'm not saying that Gore would have made a great president, but there's no question that that election result was dodgy in the extreme.
I don't believe in the hole "conspiracy theory" thing. The election was close and they counted it at least twice with Bush winning each time. I just saw it as Gore being a sore looser.

As for Clinton in 1992, I know he won the majority vote handily, But I thought the electoral votes were within a few points. I could be wrong. Do you have stats?

I had a dream two nights ago that Dubya Bush was at some place, like at a school or something that I went to. And a couple of my friends, who didn't exactly look like themselves, and who hate Bush in real life, shook hands with him and were acting all happy to meet him. And I was thinking "What the ****? ****ing hypocrites." Then I shook his hand and someone took a picture of Bush and he had white powder completely covering his nose for some reason. And I was pissed at myself for shaking hands with him and not telling him to go to hell. Strange dream.

And the turn out to meet the president was very low, like a dozen or so people, which I found odd during the dream. I was like "Well, this is a smaller school, so I guess they didn't get the word out."

Those recounts that came out for Bush were never completed. They were partway through when the Supreme Court called a stop to it. Imagine counting votes and then being told to stop at a certain point and then calling that the final result. A bit odd, don't you think? Also a bit of a coincidence that Bush was ahead at the time.

As for the '92 election results, here's a link:

I found it, I stand corrected. I guess my long term memory isn't what it used to be.

As for 2000, wasn't that after they already "recounted" at leat once?
