I think Soccer is gaining popularity but not enough to make a major dent. We still have too much love in the big 4 sports. The womens team in 99 won the WC and it seems to win gold a lot and that doesn't change much. I'd really love to see it get bigger though because I love international play. I love rooting for my country and it would be enjoyable to be a factor in the worlds most popular sport. I'd certainly give up hockey and basketball to turn our focus to football, futbol, and baseball.

yeah international Rugby is to die for too, the World Cups are crazy popular and more exciting than football ones.
