He and his team made a couple bad publicity decisions but most of the hate is probably similar to the reason Mayweather is hated. Jealousy mostly.
No, not even close. When you average 3 pts in the 4th quarter and was brought to the team to win it all and you are considered the best player in the league.....that may have something to do with it.
Heat lost primarily for two reasons, #1 Dallas is a great 3 pt shooting team and the bench was spectacular and #2 Lebron James failed miserably in this series, he was a no show.
All I'm saying is that if LeBron James is a failure then the entire population of this forum is an utter tragedy.
Speak for yourself, I'm a very happy and successful person. Lebron is going to be scrutinized on a level you obviously don't understand, it goes with the territory.
Same way Brad Pitt can't walk down the street and buy a stick of gum....it's just the way it is. Is it fair, probably not.
Oh please, anyone with half a brain knows exactly what Lebron said. To play semantics and make excuses for the guy is a bit silly.
Semantics?
I'm trying to establish what it was that got the TS so upset.
He paraphrased a quote that included the word "jobs" in it, and I'm saying he never said that. That's all.
What you think he might've applied is irrelevant. Personally I think he was just generalizing. And seeing how he didn't name anyone specifically, nobody should feel like he is talking about them, unless they do got **** life's and LeBron's choking made their day.
Well, he did congratulate Jason Kid from what I saw, this time. And he did admit that the blame goes to him when asked.
He sort of was forced to answer this way because of the question being pushed on to him? "Hey Lebron, what do you think about all the people who are happy tonight to see you fail?"
How the *** would you answer that? Ignore it? Spin it into something positive? It was a no-win situation.
There are many ways to answer that question
The truth, because they obviously do bother him.
Yea it bother me that they root for me to fail but I am going to prove them wrong!
If he wants to play it off~
They don't get to me at all and it is going to be sweeter when I prove them wrong
If he wants to reply angrily
Man screw those people and storm out
If he doesn't want to answer
I am not here to comment on how other people feel
He literally chose the worst way to answer that question possible, it is not surprising because he says dumb stuff all the time but one would think that this whole ordeal (going from be adored by almost all to be very hated) would cause him to be a bit more thoughtful. He has learned exactly jack shit as a person and that is very sad it makes me feel sorry for him.
Great player and athlete though~ hopefully for his sake he finally gets it but looking at his track record I can't say that is likely.
I'm surprised he's shown the level of restraint to not say something like this before.
The level of criticism he gets is an amount that we can barely imagine.
People here get their feelings hurt and argue for hours with someone for disagreeing with their opinion, now imagine them receiving multiple direct insults from a dozens of people every single day.
Messages reading "You're a (b!tch, *****, choke artist, failure, etc.)" probably fills the n!gga's inbox's daily. You wouldn't be bitter and resentful if you were in this n!gga's position? Please...
Was it something ****** to say in public? Of course... but this understanding is the coping mechanism he uses to be able to stay sane with the insane amount of bull**** he gets from people daily. It is what it is.

It was a knee-jerk response. The same way some in here are having knee-jerk reactions, like LeBron just pulled another Decision and bailed on their hometown. I just can't relate to that, because he hasn't gotten this emotion out of me. And I heard the entire post-game conference he and Wade did.
Knee-Jerk responses usually are not thoughtful. The adrenalin of the big fight (in boxing) or the big game just start to wear off, and you don't think about giving politically correct answers, covering your tracks in every which way, without offending anybody.

In which case, too bad.
Many accomplished coaches, analysts and athletes all commented today basically taking away the same thing out of Lebron's comments. The heat loosing made my day but it has to do more with other reasons than just Lebron. That was wrong for him to generalize and he should be bigger then that. People wonder why he and the Heat get so much criticism, but they bring it upon themselves. He needs to get over himself and grow up.

I agree that he is immature kid, with a over-inflated ego. He still shows plenty of restrain and keeps a check on that ego, because he has some good advisers around him, to protect that image. He certainly doesn't let everybody know the first brain fart that comes into his head, like a Allen Iverson would, as some code of keepin' it real.
Either way, you seem like a cool customer. I was merely responding to the TS's angry reaction, which I can't relate to. As someone above me just said, players like LeBron have to put up with loud fans talking smack to em', calling them all kinds of names. And he can't even give a general response, even when asked about it?
It's not like he went on youtube, and decided to comment on it. Had the question never been asked, we wouldn't be having this conversation.
