a few reasons;


1. they saw how well they played without Perkins earlier this year
2. Perkins wanted too much money
3. Ainge was looking to stretch the floor with Green and also adding a perimeter defender with size...probably to slow LeChoke or Melo
4. they seen the Lakers play since the All Star break and just decided to go into rebuilding mode now
