I must have missed the players striking. Stop living in the past. Today is today, and tomorrow will follow. The owners don't want to disclose their financial records because they know they are making a killing,... and they want more! The owners are scumbags. Sad to see regular men like you defend billionaires that will be able to wipe their ass with 100 dollar bills for the rest of their life even if the NFL ceases to exist forever.

this is a business. these things happen.

before it was the players that wanted more and now it's the owners who want more.

a strike/lockout will resolve it.

they'll play chicken for a bit but eventually one side will give in.

simple economics between who can outlast the other.

eventually one side will give in and we don't have to worry about it again for another 10-15-20 years.

no different from any other labor situations. in fact the players are lucky they have more power than most normal people.

They just announced that a lockout is coming tonight. TBH, I would be excited for a lockout. I may be the minority but I have felt professional football has went in the tubes over the last 15 years. College football was big before the NFL hit its stride so it would have little effect on that either. I'd rather see the NFL go away so those athletes can be stirred to boxing. I care about boxing more than the NFL.
