Point is the dictionary didn't have it's "Latin root", it had the French root because thats the form its commonly used in people's lexicon.

When did I contend French and Latin were the same language? That would be an utterly ridiculous contention and one of course I would never make.

Your peabrain does not comprehend the development of language apparently because I layed it all out quite concisely.

The word Intrasigeance is the French pronouncing of the Latin word transigere. Intransigent is the English pronounciation and spelling of the French word Intransigeance. But it all goes back to the Latin word Transgere. That is the word Instransigeance in some form or spelling exists in all Romance languages. Like I said in Italian it is Intrasgente. Romance languages are developed from from what is called "vulger" pronounciation of Latin.

you get banned if you make a goodbye thread (even if you're doing it as a stunt - I found that out and was gone for a few days), or a Schmeling's corpse thread (send my friend Anorak a pm and ask him about that one)

or if you're from another boxing site here to make trouble

eyeh8you's thinly veiled racial taunts eventually led to his demise; a chocolate candy name is in the auto-censor because of his tendency to use it...lol

And I'm not arguing with him. He's been trying to insult me by calling me a name that I don't know the meaning to and he clearly knows that.

I dont know what one word exactly translates for intrasigeance.

Newsflash: We speak English here. We don't speak Latin. So therefore we use English words that have been derived from other languages. We never use the old derivatives.

f***king hell. you obviously have never taken even a semester of French of Spanish. The f***king word "Language" is Latin in orgin. Language is the French pronounciation of the Latin word Lingo or something. That came to be adopted into English under the French Norman administration of Lower Britain. And maybe in part due to the GAllo Romaine Britons.
