Large Marge indeed. Yeah Pee-wee's Big Adventure, another great 80s film. I didn't care much for Big Top Pee-wee.

I'd give you good karma if I weren't already karma'ed out for the day.

Just a small town girl, livin’ in a lonely world
She took the midnight train goin’ anywhere
Just a city boy, born and raised in south detroit
He took the midnight train goin’ anywhere

A singer in a smokey room
A smell of wine and cheap perfume
For a smile they can share the night
It goes on and on and on and on

Strangers waiting, up and down the boulevard
Their shadows searching in the night
Streetlight people, living just to find emotion
        Hiding, somewhere in the night

Working hard to get my fill,
        Everybody wants a thrill
Payin’ anything to roll the dice,
        Just one more time
Some will win, some will lose
Some were born to sing the blues
        Oh, the movie never ends
It goes on and on and on and on

        (chorus)

        Don’t stop believin’
        Hold on to the feelin’
        Streetlight people

Don't forget about the "Boston Strangler", Andrew Toney.
That mofo was DEADLY, & always had his best games against the Celts.
Too bad he had that awful foot injury. He was something. He's somewhat of a "hidden gem" here in Philadelphia. Not someone who gets talked about much, but when his name is brought up, those who remember him get wide-eyed.
Rumor has it (though it means nothing in the real NBA world) that Toney regularly smoked Julius Erving in one-on-ones.

That team from '83 was the ****. They were so close for years (that 3-1 blown lead over the Celts tore my 11 year-old heart out !).
I remember being at my friend's hous when my older brother called me to tell me Moses Malone had just been signed. I jumped around like a nut, knowing he would get us to the promised land. He was a ****ing beast !

right on Jabs..did I mix it up? Toney started in 83 I think..Hollins was on the earlier teams?

Don't forget Clint Richardson. He hit some big shots in the finals as well. Others being Earl Cuerton and Clemon Johnson. I still have the LA Times sports page from the the day after the sweep was completed.

I liked the 70's better, myself. People were wearing those ****** bell bottom jeans that were so great for a chuckle....computers didn't rule our lives... if someone cracked wise with you and you kicked their ass, the police just told the guy you beat up that he should've watched his mouth. All in all, I liked them much better than any other decade I've lived in.

KRS-ONE was the man.He had longevity over Rakim, though both are great rappers.
