People just download all the "hot" and new songs that are out and put them onto their ipod and listen to them.

Music is supposed to be listened to as an album, a collective piece of work. Not as random individual songs.

Also to blame are mainstream radio stations who play NOTHING that isn't in the chart. And MTV.

The majority of the music buying public is made up of people brainwashed into downloading the newest and highest placed songs in pop charts.

    And it fucking sucks!!!!!!!!!!!

    dying? NO

    evolving? yes

      cosigned

      she is an actual ARTIST...

      what more can you ask??

those other ****ups are all fake...

besides, the consumers have spoken.... if "dying" music is what they want, let it be so

as long as there is money and demand, there will be someone, somewhere willing to meet the demand to make the money

I think Dave Grohl said something along those lines quite recently.

I agree. I dislike Gaga but I did see a live performance of her where it was a slow song and she was playing a piano and she was very good.

Not that I like the Jonas Bros but I'm pretty sure they write their own music and they definitely play their own instruments. Why her and not them?

More great music is being made now than ever. You just have to look for it.

Now bands and artist are aiming to make a certain statement with the music, as opposed to being a rounded, one-size-fits-all band that caters to as many people as possible.

Let the mainstream music fans enjoy their **** music, and go find some you like.

btw: Are you high? Lady Gaga is like the most talented popstars since Prince. She writes her own music, and people love that **** worldwide. If youre ging to hate, hate on Ke$sha or Britney or something.

i blame the music industry...for about 10 years...we've gotten ****ty albums consisting of 3 good songs and the rest fillers because they knew it was a 12 track minimum for it to be an LP...artists (especially rappers) also exploiting their riches and feeding off of the culture without giving anything relavent back makes the public believe that they're not worth their dollars...also blame distribution and music stores for overpricing products...got damn 18.99 for a one disc album with 4 good songs? are you serious...all and all...the market is speaking...and it's speaking loud and clear...those who are relavent are still selling records...people still appreciate good music...but just because you have a studio and are part of a label...it doesn't mean you deserve our praise for your bull****...

As far as writing their own music, they write some, but there are nameless people that work for Disney that help them co-write their music.

As to their Guitar "playing" lol, no comment

I don't think that music is dying, I think that main stream music just sucks. There are still plenty of real artists out there creating good music, they just aren't on tv or the cover of ****zines for it.

I go to plenty of shows, listen to great music that is current but unfortunately, these artists aren't getting main stream love.

It's ok though because true art isn't about money and money shouldn't play a part in corrupting it.
