The friday movies were all funny, I do watch alot of indy films too.

Other than that I really only watch movies now when the missus says we are watching a movie.

Pulp fiction, Love Song for Bobby Long, Dark City, Requieum For a Dream, Donny Darko, Buddy Boy......just a few I would recommend.

Its the #1 music in DC. Its called Go Go music and its what I grew up on. Again, like half the songs they copy from the top songs out and the other half is there own made up stuff but its not a complete copy because the music is different. Go Go music is based on a band, the Congos are the #1 instrument, and the music is just beast. Again, Go Go's are straight G ****. Dont no one go but the Thugs and mad hoes dancing freaky as hell. Alot of shootings & murders usually get all the clubs shut down soon enough. Again, the lead singer for this group is the guy who plays Slim Charles on The Wire. He even got shot on stage one time at the Go Go. Here's some clips of Go Go's. Alot of the star rappers respect them and come to DC and perform with them when they are here.

Backyard is just one of the bands but there has been alot. I know the Good Charollette boys and I knew one of them really well and I even had him hooked on this **** before they blew up. Also, alot of the music out now is based on Go Go music. Amerie uses alot of Go Go stuff if you hear her beats because she's from here and Wale uses a ton of it in alot of his stuff because he's also from here. One of his lastest hit songs Pretty Girlz, he got the hook from the BYB band from back in 03 and he got the same guy to sing it on his song. You can hear it in the last vid. I 1st met Ginuwine at a Go Go when he 1st came out with his very 1st song. **** is dope but I know its not for alot of outsiders because they dont understand it but if they go to one then they will fall in love with that **** because the hoes will make you go crazy.
