Attention to detail, or did you mean reading comprehension? We were talking about an example of where it sure looks like unions have inflated wages and benefits to the point where we can no longer be competitive, the UAW. You even provided me with a beautiful example of how a foreign country moved over here and built profitable, inexpensive automobiles. Then you come along with this "unions account for only 15% of total workers" garbage out of left field.

Now explain to me how my opinion is wrong? It's a fricken opinion FCS. In your and your daddy Jacky's opinion unions are all that's great in the world. In my opinion, they do more harm than good. Difference is I (and even you) provided an example of where my opinion holds some water.

LOL...they came to the U.S and paid those employees a living, competitive wage. They didn't go to Indoneisa or Africa, lol..

If you think Toyota is paying U.S workers 15 cents a day, you're high on crack.

If anything it shows that a corporation can be successful in the home country of the big 3 and still maintain fair labor practices without gipping 3rd world workers for slave wages.

Never said they were the greatest thing on earth, but its better to have workers representation than nothing at all. I assume you want companies to be able to dictate their terms w/ no resistance huh?

Sorry pal, it doesn't work that way. People have the right to a living wage and dignity in their place of work. Unions aren't perfect but they stand as a protective entity for workers and their exploitation.
