anyone live in alaska or been to alaska? my brother is moving to alaska, I told him I'd help him buy jackets. But I'm thinking they should buy snow suits right? He told me he'd probably just wait to buy them in Anchorage (not where he's moving to btw). I was looking up some prices online, seems if they buy the snow suit/boots for the kids and snow suits for them it's gonna be around $150-200 a person is that about right? He has 6 kids..

I hear in Alaska that you can't even get to most towns by car because there aren't any roads leading in between them, you have to go by aircraft boat or dogsled. Weird.

sure.... actually I'm hoping to go in the summer..hoping to raise enough money to take my other brother, wife & 2 kids with us ..otherwise they won't ever get to go. My brother said their summer will be like our winter..though our winter isn't that bad..it's gotta be crazy cold!!
