Well yeah, I work in the mental health field. My doctorate is in the mental health field. I work with the mentally ill incarcerated population.

So of course, I am a mental healthcare advocate. And yes, America is very behind. It’s not just a mental health angle. It is true. But America has criminalized mental health for 100s of years now. Jail/prison is America’s response to mental health illness, where staff lack the skills to deal with those inmates. Some states/cities, like Detroit for example, are taking note of Norway and their prison system. Norway’s prison system is considered the gold standard. What do they do, why is their recidivism so much lower than the U.S’s? They focus more on mental healthcare. They also spend about $90k a year for each inmate, as opposed to $30k a year per inmate in the US. Norway actually rehabilitates their prisoners.

I just wrote a paper last week on Frank James, the Brooklyn, NY subway shooter. A lot of information has come out about his cry for help, and disdain towards the lack of mental health care he received. His complaints were all before the shooting. Frank James went to prison, didn’t get rehabilitated, as a result he committed another crime and is back prison. Typical American scenario. I also included media bias against Frank James.

I help people like Frank James in real life, you seek racial wars on a forum, not helping anyone, just going around flaunting the race card. Go outside and take matters into your own hands by helping rather than always just typing nonsense. I am latino and black myself. Difference is I am out here helping.

Truth is these kinds of crimes are just not done by sane people. I don’t know what to tell you about your racial point of views for any topic. You think everyone is biased to some skin color.
