House Of The Dragon Officially Wraps, George RR Martin Says He Is 'Loving' The Episodes

If she is a big fan of it then she should know Dumb and Dumber are not part of it. D&D ruined it because they rushed it to grab some money Netflix/Disney were offering. They went with Disney and I think backed out of that and decided to go with the higher bidder, Netflix. I don’t know for what show.

But that’s basically what happened. That’s all.

They rushed to finish it, they shortened it.

GRRM himself begged HBO to make GoT 10 seasons to give it a proper ending. HBO wanted more seasons.

D and D were the only one’s who wanted to end it.

Why?

Someone was offering them a lot of money to finish it and come do a series for them. A 9-digit bidding war between Disney and Netflix.

It’s a shame, but that is what happened.

D&D are not involved with this though, that’s the good news. And GRRM is happy with season 1. He is not going to lie about it. It’s his book. He wasn’t happy with season 8 of GoT. He admitted it wasn’t entirely faithful to the books and also admitted that he should have stayed ahead of the series.

That's the thing..... She told me about how during the later seasons stuff changed cuz D n D didn't have the book to go off of. Maybe season 4 I believe. I remember her telling me how they ruined Stannis who would have never burned his daughter alive. But I also remember her refusing to watch any new shows during that two year wait for the final season expecting them to get their shyt together. Funny thing I started watching hella late but I remember telling her during the last season it was gonna suck, I noticed too much dumb stuff going with the characters, it didn't fully hit her till the Bells episode lol.

I'm pretty sure she will eventually watch the new series, but she was so pissed it's gonna take a couple of episodes of great reviews.

They botched the final season so bad I can't even get my sister to think about watching this. And she read the books and was a huge fan.

I think alot of people feel the same, it's gonna take a while before people forgive what happened to give this a chance

Same as the walking dead..... They botched season 7 ,8 so bad I couldn't pay my family to watch and it used to be a damn family event every Sunday smh

Ah, got it. Makes sense.

Still, GRRM was there to offer guidance. HE wanted GoT to go 10 seasons. He was going to guide them with ideas. They had the man’s blessing. They had HBO’s backing. They rushed it to get that money elsewhere. Understandable, look out for your own pockets. I get it. But they ruined it. They could have done 2 more seasons, at least. They chose not to.

Not sure why those two overrated showrunners got all that cash thrown at them as if they are some original story tellers or something. First time they completely run out of content, they ruined the series and ran for the hills. And they received 9-digit offers

All jokes aside, I admit that seasons 5 and 6 were great though, and they ran out of source there. Which leaves the season 8 debacle with no excuse as to why it happened.

If you told me Jordan Peele or Christopher Nolan were receiving 9-digit offers, i’d understand exactly why. But D&D? That’s a waste of money for Netflix. Luckily they have plenty of it to waste.

I have to go with season 4. And it was setup nicely by season 3.
