C'mon now. Well done is best. Anything below that and you are eating raw meat. Who wants to eat raw meat?

While I am all for to each their own, and have no issues with anyone who prefers their beef cooked to medium to even well done -- if that's how they like it then who am I to say, but...the vast majority of professional chefs will advise that the optimal level of cooked beef is medium-rare.

I love that type of food. I generally have cheese on a burger, sometimes bacon as well, and as far as hot dogs go mustard, and sometimes onions as well. I love group get togethers with barbecue and beers, always good times.

Red - So I am gonna go against my own taste buds and listen to others?
My taste buds let me know that well done is best.

All of y'all who like raw meat probably eat your woman while she is on her cycle.

A day to honour fallen soldiers but I see no mention of that. Just folks grilling.
Y'all should be forced to do something for the members of a fallen soldiers family.

No, I didn't say go against your own taste buds. It's your mouth and I fully support your right to have your food cooked to your desire, whatever that may be. It's your mouth that food is going in after all.

All I was saying is that the overwhelming majority of professional chefs and high level steakhouses would suggest that beef cooked to medium-rare is considered the standard.

But it's your mouth and your money paying for that steak so if you want it cooked well done or even set on fire and burnt to a fine crisp then that is certainly your right. I don't judge people for what they eat and like. In fact it bothers me when other people judge others for what they eat, and it seems like more people than not want to be able to tell others how and what they should eat.

Well there's a little bit of a difference, to say the least, when it comes to putting cute little Fido on a plate and a person's preference on how done they prefer their steaks.

That said, as far as eating a dog would go, it depends on the culture. If it is accepted within their culture then yes. I don't judge them for it. Like we eat massive amounts of pork here in the US without a second thought, but within certain religions (particularly in the Middle East among ******s and ***ish) eating pork is taboo. They eat horse in Mexico, Spain and Italy (among others). Here we do not. If it's accepted within their culture then no I do not judge them for it.

But if Carl next door put his chihuahua on a plate, then yes it would disturb me. Obviously. Because not only is it not something accepted within our culture here, it would also be illegal.

Again though, when I talk about being supportive of people eating whatever they want here in this country, I obviously mean within certain boundaries. I mean if a guy wants to dip his prime grade filet mignon in ketchup then by all means. Would I do that? No, I wouldn't. But it's his mouth and his body so who am I to say. However if that same guy is serving up German Shephard ribeyes at his backyard bbq then that would be something outside the boundaries of what I am talking about, lol.
