I think that was an important part of this case that can’t be overlooked.

the good and decent cops spoke out. They didn’t protect a murdering scumbag. The attorney general didn’t allow the incompetent local prosecutor to f-ck things up on purpose.

I think going forward, if we see more of this- cops willing to put human decency ahead of the badge- then hopefully the police departments all throughout America are able to purge all the “Chauvin” types from their ranks AND state and federal prosecutors taking the lead from local prosecutors, the relationship between police and the black community can be improved.

Red - Exactly man. That Jim Crow era and its remnants really screw up America. Whites were quick to gang up against Blacks even when their was no evidence to support their beliefs. The majority of Whites just had that group thinking mentality that was very detrimental to Blacks.

The Blacks realized that and grew to hate and distrust the system.

I think the narrative that blacks have always been little angels and have never done anything wrong is kind of silly man. Not defending any specific or general treatment of them in US history. But the history of black-white relations in the US is a long and complicated one. It is not so black and white, to excuse the pun.

Crying? About what lol? I called you out because you made a comment about you sitting back and laughing and reading the comments from the nasty people - then I pointed out that you were actually one of the nasty people yourself lol. I didn't follow the trial day by day. Some guys said Toobin, and some Tobin. I assumed they were referring to the former. In any event, George Floyd was a piece of sh.it and no one should be crying over his death. If he was a white guy, I would say the same thing about him.

I can't really speak for Chauvin and he probably should have handled it a bit differently in hindsight. But when you're dealing with a large drug-infested man who is incoherent and resisting arrest, well sometimes bad things will happen to that guy. Pretty pathetic for anyone to make him out to be a 'saint' lolol. I mean it's embarrassing man.

As far as discussing the trial etc, you're just not smart enough to really have a convo with on any of that man. Enjoy your 'victories' while you can. Probably won't happen overnight but as some point everything of value will be destroyed and you'll maybe feel more at home then anyway.
