Years ago I read about the McMartin Preschool child ******ations in a book titled "Painted Black." It was an interesting read about many different facets of Satanism existing in America and I highly recommend it. However I would like to point out that many believe the accusations to have been false. The following is from Wikipedia "the case lasted seven years but resulted in no convictions, and all charges were dropped in 1990. By the case's end, it had become the longest and most expensive in American history".

Many do believe the accusations to be false.

But if high society Satanist pedophiles do exist they would do anything in their power to muddy the waters to cover up their involvement, right?

I personally think the use of the media to push the Satanic Panic narrative in the 1980's was one such attempt by them to discredit victims and witnessess. And it has largely worked.

So as always people should research the facts carefully and come to their own conclusions.

Its also interesting to note that the main issue of substance regarding the "Satanic Panic" was the issue of children being credable witnesses, and the impact adults had on their impressions. This issue has been debated back and fourth for many moons. Freud showed us a lot and to this day his ideology is often suppressed. Children are impressionable and prone to fantasy, but, like women, Freud showed they are marginalized.
