I wouldn't.

I think in general, and this is definitely mental by the way but the English as a nation view international sport as some sort of extension of International warfare.

Other 'normal' nations just see the national team for what it is - the best footballers in the country playing football against other teams.

Countries like Sweden really celebrate their national team. They really love them - win,lose, or draw.

That's not our style at all.

We're morbidly interested in our national team but only in the sense that we don't want them to shame us in front of the world.

If we littered our team with naturalised 'Englishmen' It would be like winning a war with mercenaries. It's cheap. And we had an massive empire once, innit!

I don't see myself being happy about us winning at all with complete foreigners.

Even if we did have Ronaldo, Messi, Iniesta, Valencia, Suarez etc.

If we have players that come over at an early age or have English parents then it is different.

I'm glad Januzaj did not choose to play for us no matter how good he could become.
