Felt a bit sorry for Essien.

He's been shot to bits for over 3 seasons.

It is all a bit of a struggle for Chelsea but we're still 2nd - we desperately need a good central midfielder and doesn't matter if he is holding or whatever he just needs to be good.

Mata is still our best player and it is not even particularly close.

Chelsea have 2 away games which will test how legit we are as title contenders. Stoke and Sunderland - toughish games but games you have to win if you want to win titles and the Palace at home.

If it was for Spurs i think you guys would be p4p the worse spenders per trophy in english football over the past 10 years..

Spurs fans will never accept that they spend money and will always insist (money)is the one thing stopping them from global domination despite them actually having a billionaire owner and spending lots and lots of money.

The thing is - for all the will in the world you're still going to sign a complete turd now and again and it doesn't matter how much you actually spend. There is a lot more to it than a transfer fee and good player turning up that ensures he is going to be any good whatsoever.

Spurs probably have the worst supporters in football; anyone who has ever listened to a football phone-in will attest to that if you don't actually know any of them personally.

I really thought Southampton were going to take points from Chelsea. They seemed to just run out of steam in the second half and got smashed through the middle. Four points clear, not cool.

Man Utd are less than no threat. I'm not being hyperbolic but it is truly the end of an era for Utd. It has been coming for a season or two now.

I bet at some stage this season Man U will win about 8 games on the bounce. Let's be honest, who has rated them that highly for the last few years? They win championships because winning itself is ingrained in the fabric of that club. I never expect that Chelsea will get beaten by Man United. But I always expect that Man U will score a last minute winner to turn 1 point into 3 several times a season to put them right in the title picture.

This season is awesome. Chelsea have yet to play well for a complete 90 minutes and are still 2nd. Man City have had horrendous results away from home. Man U had a slow start.

Arsenal are performing as expected. They have beaten all the teams they should whilst the others haven't.
