Why doesn't Wenger just have at it at go for Willian?

This dude will end up playing as our overage player in our U-21 team if he does join us. I never thought Chelsea looking at signing a top player could wind me up. But this is just senseless.

Realistically, I think he'd be most useful to Liverpool. But then he would have to live in Liverpool and play for Brendan Rogers. The pull of London is really strong in these transfer battles which is why Chelsea have been able to beat United in head-to-heads over a few players now over the years. The only good thing about it is just that it would be a bit of a patronizing head pat to Spurs.

I loved Flamini when he was at Arsenal, was gutted to see him leave. That team we had in 2007/08 was a great side. We were robbed blind in the Premier League and the Champions League that year.

I kinda figured the same. Mata would probably be misused and end up a round peg in a square hole. Like Kagawa (although nothing to do with Moyes).

Not totally sold on the idea. Mata is high quality but isn't exactly a Mourinho kind of player. So I understand the idea even though Mata is a fan favorite.

Spurs would be better off getting Coentrao in the deal imo and just going after another winger. AVB has connects, he'll probably pull out Gaitan's calling card or something.

It's not the quality of the player..

It's the fact that he is English and very marketable..

English players go for more especially to other clubs in the league and this is "supposedly" the best English player...
