Boots these days are terrible - especially Nike ones.

That whole ****** lacing system where it is positioned at the side and materials are so thin and light it is no wonder they fall off. I played football a lot from the ages of 7-18. I honestly don't remember anyone's boots coming off.



This is how people used to tie their football boots.

You can't do this with these ****ty Nike boots that weigh 0.2 grams or whatever. No wonder players break their feet all the time. Nobody even heard of a metatarsal pre 2006 and the sudden influx of these plastic boots.

Since when has having a lightweight boot even been beneficial to playing the game of football anyway? I find that really confusing. As if having your boots weight 50g less is somehow noticeable. All it does is offer less protection and mean players are constantly bruising their feet.

I had basic umbro boots till i got a pait of becks predators for.my birthday one year.. the white ones.. they got me in trouble LOL.. like a magnet for the nearest defenders to have a go at me physically or verbally.. gave it back though...

I did well with them though.. i remeber a mate who brought a 300€£ cricket bat.. he was out for a duck virtually every match

I had a pair of the first predators.

I ripped that rubber bull**** the 2nd time I wore them because I kicked the studs of another player when challenging for the ball.
