I'd put any silverware way above any trophyless league position personally. I reckon most Wigan fans would as well. They'll be able to talk about seeing their team winning the FA cup till the day they die, it's priceless.

Besides, Arsenal could quite easily finish top 4 AS WELL AS winning a domestic trophy.

Your owners wouldn't or anyone with half a brain cell. I guess that's why the average football fan couldn't run a club. Arsenal have a longer term strategy rather than going for one hit wonder successes.

The pictures of them all celebrating in the dressing room like they'd won the league are what make people cringe.

More important to the board, yeah. In terms of being a fan going to finals/winning things it's a no contest to me.
