Won trophies in each of his first two seasons including the league title, on pace to win silverware again this year and a top two finish?

It's good to know that you think that Alex Ferguson should have been fired after three seasons.

Thats true, though i can see him getting the boot if the FA Cup doesnt go to the Etihad. Don't agree with it but football is crazy nowadays

Why though? The only area he could improve imo is in the Champions League. He's had quite a few injuries this season to key players (Aguero, Kompany etc) and a few others haven't performed but they're still second in the league. If I was City i would steer clear of the expensive Chelsea route and look for stability.

edit: even in the CL they had a very tough group. Not that they performed well but it was probably one of the most tricky groups that i can remember to be honest.

City showed their star power is greater than game planning/ttactics. Great players do great things.

And is it just me or is fergie over thinking the final stretch? Starts javier in fa cup. Starts giggs and out of shape rooney vs city? #losingtheplot?

Yeah Man United's Champions League draw included a team that had to ask a bloke down the pub if they could borrow his Jack Russel just to make up the numbers. And they were called Clunge.

Like I said before City's major problem is that they haven't been scoring nearly as many goals. United had a good season last year, 89 points is a league-winning tally. They're looking like their season this year may be slightly better by a point or two whereas City look like they're having a worse season by maybe 10 points.

Basically in the 20 years of the Premier League United's 89 point, +56 GD finish would have been enough to win the league fourteen times. No team had finished on 89 or more points without winning the league.

United look like they're on for about 90 points with City looking like about 83. It's a respectable tally by any objective standard.

Unless you're Bedroom Bully who is predictably hurt. In the butt. Butthurt.

If you had the choice of

                Mourinho
                Van gaal
Heynckes (lets say he doesn't retire)
                Laudrup
                Bielsa

Who would you choose over mancini? Or would you keep mancini?

I would keep Mancini at this stage. Look at England's most successful top flight managers. The one thing they all have in common is that they have had a long term in the manager's chair including multiple years without major honours. Kicking out Mancini now a season after winning the league while sitting second in the table and with a possibility of further silverware is absolutely ridiculous.

City faced criticism when they were taken over by the Arab Consortium and the assumption was that they would become another Chelsea. I don't want my team to become another Chelsea with a revolving door manager system. I mean they sacked a manager five months after he won the Champion's League / FA Cup double FFS.

The only reason for firing a manager mid-season should be if the manager's performance is such that keeping him in the post would be a liability. A new manager might provide a push up the table or prevent relegation.

Mancini is not having an awful season. City are just 6 points back of where we were last season. If we finish off the season with the same results as last season then we would finish on 83 points. United would finish on 90 points if they got the same results.

Gareth Barry is a beast in big games, perfect foil for Yaya. Write him off at your peril.

So let me get this straight. City lose, managers fault. City win, nothing to do with the manager.

Milner and Barry have been 2 of our best players in like the last 4 derby games, got **** all to do with star power.

I'd keep Mancini but if we're gonna replace him then my first option would be Klopp and I wouldn't mind Pellegrini.

Milner is key for City I think. You cannot win in England if all of your players are Silva and Nasri. You need strong sloggers like Barry and strong workhorses like Milner.
