They're the best team in the world now so I'm sure that has changed.
We're not a good cross-section of English support here. Plus we all still definitely watch England games despite our grumblings I would wager.

i wonder how they would look playing aggressive football. and bring back beckham. really. the least he could do is act like a regista. laying the ball in from deep positions.
If they played agressive football, they would have been drubbed by Italy in the recent Euro, instead of forcing penalties, for starters. So yeah, they should stick to long ball and bunkering and hope a miracle happens.Last edited by Pirao; 09-13-2012, 04:14 AM.

Can someone explain why Eusebio is regarded as one of the best players of all time? If ever there's been a player who lived off the back of one decent tournament it's him. I know he won a European cup but still, he shouldn't be anywhere near a best player ever discussion. Put Maldini or Garrincha up there instead of him.
I mean bloody Miroslav Klose (who didn't even make the 'very good list' has accomplished more than him as far as I can see.

You have do with want your nation has, no transfer window for reinforcement and one chance in four years to write your name into the history books. People remember bad performances or excellent performances in International football since one little difference can change anything.
Example, people have already forgot that Messi held the ball too long against Inter and Chelsea, was stripped both sides countered and resulted in a goal which eventually was the difference. But they haven’t forgot about his non-existent performance in 2010 where he was helpless as German ****d his national team. Lampard and Gerrard poor league seasons are forgotten but their abysmal international performance will hang over their legacy. R.Carlos had a great club record, but he left Henry unmarked and cost Brazil the 2006 world cup, will not be forgiven for one error of judgment,
Club football you can redeem yourself next year or the year after or just change teams, but international football isn’t that simple.
Roberto Carlos will be known for his error in 2006? i don't think so.. guy will be remebered as a sick left back with a rocket shot who won pretty much everything on an international/club level. But a small mistake (ill take your word for it.. cause i sure as hell cant recall it) in a QUARTER final match will ruin/taint his legacy? give me a break..
Not many people here care for England vs the likes of Moldova.. or Ukraine for various reasons..
One we play **** boring football.. even with the "Golden generation"
BUM ass friendly games always interupting... the PL season which no one takes seriously.. most of the squad phones in sick... (even for qualifiers)
More importantly... England is ****e now.. how can i still be in love with my nation.. were i walk the street and 1 in 10 is white british... Place is full of fake asian gangsters.. polish muscleheads.. and more white girls infatuated with the BBC.. which personally makes me fear for the future even more.. i will leave this country when i can... it's going straight to hell..
Used to be a wreck when England exited tournaments.. when we lost to Italy last summer.. i barely cared. England is now just an overpopulated ****hole were people come to live of easy benefits
