    Liverpool have money but spunk it on overhyped Englishmen. Chelsea got Hazard, Oscar and Marian for around the same money Liverpool paid for Carroll, Downing and Henderson lol.

    Now they're talking about £15m for Joe Allen. I actually rate Allen, but not at that price.

        Allen is okay if you are playing negative football.

        He is worth £5milllion at a push. Anything above that would be daylight robbery.

          arsenal has cash but they don't spend it. not even to keep their own players at the club. when they do spend it's the odd 12-15m on podolski or gervinho level players. Persie leaves, that club switches places with liverpool.

          although i think pool takes the piss next season. too complex system to not have your starters adjusting asap.

              Liverpool is going nowhere with the bum signings they are doing. Liverpool would be e lucky to overtake Spurs at this point, which is clearly a bum club.

              Arsenal doesn't need to spend to prove they're the best club in English football.

                arsenal isn't even the best club in london.

                they think they can survive with average players, they will quickly fall to mid-table. if it wasn't for their ability to groom young talent. their future would be dark after persie leaves.

                pool is turd though. rogers has a lot of work to do. turn a big dumb 442 team into a possession 1 touch team? without preseason adaptation? very hard.

                    Every year i hear how Arsenal are in crisis and are going to fall off. Just look at STJ's comments this time last year. Saying how Arsenal will fail and Liverpool will take over. But guess what? It never happens!

                    Arsenal always find a way to get that Champions League spot.
